Karachi: A major network of India’s intelligence agency RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) has been exposed in Karachi, where law enforcement also discovered terrorists’ safe houses operating in the city.
Addressing a press conference, Additional IG CTD Sindh, Azad Khan, revealed that the breakthrough came after the arrest of four suspects on July 8, 2025, linked to the murder of a 45-year-old man in Badin on May 18, 2025. The suspects were traced through CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts, leading to the recovery of the pistol and motorcycle used in the crime.
During interrogation, it was disclosed that the murder was orchestrated by Sanjay Sanjeev Kumar alias “Fauji”, an Indian agent based in a Gulf country. He allegedly hired Salman, a resident of Sheikhupura, to carry out the assassination.
CTD officials stated that RAW had spent a significant amount of money on the operation, with Sanjay remotely managing the plot from abroad. Reports also indicate that Indian media celebrated the killing, further proving RAW’s involvement. The agency is also accused of using separatist groups as proxies in its operations inside Pakistan.
“This form of terrorism is state-sponsored and will be raised at every forum,” said AIG Azad Khan, adding that further arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
